Set-Up | Take-Down

Set-up is Thursday, April 8 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Call or e-mail for early set-up times.

Take-down is anytime after 7 p.m. (to 11 p.m.) on Saturday evening. No early take downs!

Modern Expo - Show Supplier/Decorator

You can supply your own booth items or utilize Modern Expo. Your booth consists of your space with black piper and drape (8' back wall and 3' sides). Modern Expo can supply any other items, other than internet. Commonly ordered items include draped tables, carpet, chairs, and electricity.

* Material handling fees can be expensive. Make sure you understand all costs before shipping or receiving anything to the show.

Booth Rules

Utah does not have extensive set-up and design regulations. Here are a few show rules:

* All booth amenities must stay within the allotted space unless pre-approved (for example, nothing in the aisles).

* Anything designated unsafe by the show organizer will be required to be changed (for example, tipping hazards).

* Solid side walls may not extend farther than halfway to the front of your booth unless the booth is designated as a full-wall booth. This assures the view of other booths is not blocked.

* Drape rods will support normal banners but are not to be used as booth support.

* Helium balloons can be used if attached securely to your booth. Do not hand out helium balloons.

Material Handling

Advanced shipping and/or material handling can be coordinated through Modern Expo Services. See the Exhibitor Packet for rates and instructions. Please pre-check your costs so you are aware of the charges.

Internet

Wired or wireless internet is available through the Mountain America Expo Center. The easiest way to order is by logging-in to "MAEC Premium" in your Wi-Fi settings and following the instructions. You can expect to pay ~$60/day per device. If you would like to order internet service by phone call 385-468-2284 or use the online form. Presenters may need to arrange internet for their presentations.

Electrical

Electricity is available through Modern Expo (see above). Please see the exhibitor packet. Pre-ordered electrical is approximately $110.

Promo Codes

If you would like a custom promo code you can give to friends and followers for $5 off online tickets, you can request it here.

Giveaways

Giveaways are a great way to get additional exposure. We will have opportunities for attendees to earn raffle tickets. We will be drawing raffle winners throughout the show.

Contributing an item to the raffle giveaway bags is a way to get more exposure (no coupons/flyers). Raffle winners will receive a GIVEAWAY BAG you can contribute to for free! You will need to bring 100 items with you to setup Thursday morning.

Food and Temporary Food Permit Questions

Mountain America Expo Center does not allow giving away drinks, other than samples, (including water) at their venue. If you have any food items (other than candy bowls), you'll need to apply with Sodexo Live!. Click here for the application to sell/sample food items from your booth. Send the completed application to Amber Bailey Extra charges may apply. You will also need to check with the Salt Lake County Health Department to find out if you need a temporary food handlers permit. For information, call (385) 468-3845. Even if you are a current food handler, you may need a temporary permit for the show. You can apply for a permit here. Prepackaged candy bowls are fine.

Tax Information

Most likely you will need to pay the Utah State Tax Commission sales tax on items you sell at the show. Expect an email or phone call from the tax commission a few weeks before or after the show. Dude Xpo Marketing

Dude Xpo plans to do extensive marketing to promote our event. Our campaign plans include local TV station press coverage, I-15 billboards, ticket distribution points, national men's organizations, men's group email campaigns, print promotions, popular bloggers and social media.

Rates

Booth space is available by contacting Dude Xpo at (801)564-4461. Booths are 10' x 10' and generally run $999. Dude Xpo is a great way to connect your business with your target market. Trade shows are consistently the top ROI marketing event.

Parking (map) and trailer parking

Parking at Mountain America Expo Center is free in many lots. Trailers may be left overnight in the "North Lot" (see parking map here), but you must purchase a pass to leave trailers in the back loading dock area ($40). View the general public parking map here.
